“I was waitlisted at my first choice medical school, for an eventual non-acceptance for that year.

I remember all of the times I failed previously (like not getting in to an honors program) and how those acted as leverage experiences to push me back on track (eventually did get into that honors program). So now I am pushing myself to the success that I know I am capable of achieving to get into that medical school.

When the inevitable adversity of life strikes you down from your own staircase of ambitions like a wind, you can’t stay down. You have to learn to both get back up and steady yourself so the same  turbid wind doesn’t get you again.”
