"On my 18th birthday, I found out that I was pregnant. My parents told me that I would never amount to anything and I would be throwing away my future if I kept the baby. They made me feel like a disappointment and a failure.

I cried every night for a week because I had no idea what to do. I was always pro-life and I couldn’t possibly take the life of someone so small and helpless. I talked to a close friend and she made me realize that I shouldn’t care what anyone else thought. This was MY life and MY baby. I graduated high school 5 months pregnant and a National Honor Society co-vice president. I began college and gave birth to a beautiful 9lb. 3oz. baby girl. I was a single mom who was a full time student and worked two part time jobs. I was overwhelmed at times, but 4 years later I graduated with a Bachelors Degree.

Don’t worry about what other people think. This is YOUR life. If I would have listened to everyone else, I wouldn’t have the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She is my everything and I couldn’t imagine my life without her."
